How should toilet paper hang?

The 1891 patent drawing for the toilet paper roll shows it hanging OVER the top — so technically, the inventor already answered this. And yet somewhere right now, someone is walking into a bathroom, seeing it "wrong," and silently flipping the roll like a hero. Are you that person? Or are you the chaos they're protecting us from?
